03/09/2026

Dear Sir or Madam,

We are pleased to draw your attention to “L’Atelier – Advanced Latin Seminar”, entitled “The ‘Magna Ruina’: The Sack of Rome in 1527”, offered by FVT during the first semester of the 2026–27 Academic Year.

On the occasion of the 500th anniversary of the Sack of Rome, the seminar will explore significant Latin sources written by eyewitnesses to these events: Caesar Grolierus, Joannes Cavus, and Petrus Cursius.

Three voices, three testimonies, and three different literary perspectives through which to experience and understand one of the most dramatic moments in European history, discovering it through the words of those who witnessed it firsthand.

A true journey through time, exploring history through its language and the testimonies of those who lived it.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: 9 OCTOBER 2026

Kind regards,
